  If you expect a warm welcome don't go to this Inn because you won't get one. Really poor attitude from the patron. With room to spare in the dining area our request to order some food was treated worse than Oliver's request for more. We were treated as a problem rather than a valued customer, we drank a beer and left. Under no circumstances will we ever return. This is our worst experience in any pub for a very long time suggest the proprietors brush up on customer service or they may soon not have any!

  After a meal, my mother asked if she could bring her dog into this 'dog friendly' Pub. We had seen other customers bring their dogs in. The Landlady allowed this but her dog duly attacked my Mum's dog. My Mum was bitten by the 'pub dog' in the process and sustained an injury. No sympathy, apology or care came from the Landlady or Landlord. The Landlord shouted at my Mum, blaming her for the incident and stating he told her not to bring her dog in. He ranted and shouted at our 6 party family and then demanded full payment for our meal! Absolutely no customer care or decent attitude with regards to this incident which left my Mum upset and shaken. My parents are local to the Barley Mow and were regular, loyal customers. They will never go there again ...

  Great staff, superb home cooked food, well kept beers! What more do you need from a local village pub. Hats off to Mike and Sonia for doing a great job!
